Hello and welcome!

I am a Propel postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University, working with Professors Nathan Lo and Jason Andrews on modeling global typhoid vaccination strategies. Prior to this, I completed my PhD in population health sciences (specialization: infectious disease epidemiology) at Harvard University, where I was based at the Center for Communicable Disease Dynamics (CCDD).

My research is centered on the development of infectious disease models for improving surveillance efforts in contexts with limited availability, timeliness, and scope of reported epidemiological data. Specifically, I am interested in prioritizing the development of these approaches among socially disadvantaged populations overlooked in traditional modeling frameworks, who are also underinvested in public health programs at large. To address differential disease dynamics in these sub-populations and to project current and future population-wide trends despite mass underreporting, I use a combination of principles in transmission dynamic modeling, spatial statistics, machine learning, causal inference, and health economics. I am also passionate about expanding diversity and representation in the infectious disease modeling community and equalizing science communication efforts.
